In Europe, after a dominant group stage performance early in the campaign, PSG progressed through their quarter-final against Atalanta in dramatic fashion with both goals from Marquinhos and Choupo-Moting coming after 90 minutes. The French side were more comfortable in their semi-final enjoying a 3-0 win over plucky RB Leipzig. The final proved a step too far for PSG who succumbed to serial-winners Bayern Munich thanks to former PSG star Kingsley Coman's second half goal.
